About us
We are the go-to local community in Enschede for anyone with a passion for Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop (role-playing) games. Whether you are a seasoned adventurer or have never touched dice before, there is always a seat for you at our table.
Our vision and mission
Since 2018, EnscheD&D has been bringing people together through the power of games and stories. What started as a small initiative has grown into a social platform where connection and personal development are central.
We believe that collaborative storytelling is a powerful tool for bringing people together and promoting inclusion. By playing and creating together, we lower the threshold for participation and offer a safe environment where new networks can emerge.
To further strengthen these goals, EnscheD&D is part of Stichting Tabletop Twente (Tabletop Twente Foundation) since 2026.
What we do
Our core activity consists of organizing publicly accessible gatherings, of which we are best known for our D&D GameDays. During these events, we facilitate interactive Dungeons & Dragons sessions based on custom-developed scenarios designed to stimulate cooperation, creativity, and multiple ways of thinking.
We also collaborate with local social partners such as the Library of Enschede, Sickhouse, and Fanaat for special events, to increase our impact and reach different target groups. You can find our past events here.
In addition to our physical gatherings, we manage a digital meeting place (on Discord). Here, people can connect at any time for various forms of interaction, contributing to the same goals in an increasingly digital world.
Organisation and board
EnscheD&D is an initiative of Stichting Tabletop Twente, a non-profit organization dedicated to the public interest. The execution of our projects is carried out by the foundation’s board, supported by a growing group of volunteers.
The board of the foundation consists of:
- Doremiek Lamain
- Rosalyn Govaarts
- Linda Bastiaan
- Tim Wienk
- Kester Meurink
You can find everyone on Discord, or reach us by email at info@enschedend.nl.
Our board members receive no compensation for their work; they contribute to the foundation and EnscheD&D on a voluntary basis.
Helping out and contributing
Would you like to contribute to our events or our social goals? You can! We can use assistance with EnscheD&D events, setting up new initiatives, and the further growth of the foundation.
For existing events, you can think of everything from setting up materials, creating art and maps, printing minis, to strengthening our regional visibility and facilitating social interaction both digitally and during physical events.
Feel free to approach us during an event or send us a message on Discord or by email.

Objectives
The foundation’s objective is to (help) organize and provide regional access to social, educational, and recreational events centered around tabletop games that contribute to community building, creativity, and personal development. Additionally, the foundation develops and publishes expansions, variations, and interpretations for these tabletop games, such as the scenarios and stories used during our events.
We are committed to strengthening social cohesion and providing a safe, inclusive environment in the Twente region. Through interactive storytelling and games, we bring together people from diverse backgrounds, focusing on combating loneliness, stimulating creativity, and offering an accessible educational platform.
Policy plan
We are currently drafting our policy plan for 2026-2028. The policy plan will contain information about our activities, financial policy, and future plans.
Remuneration policy
Board members and volunteers receive no remuneration for their activities. They are only eligible for the reimbursement of actual expenses incurred, provided on a declaration basis.
Annual reports
Every year before July 1st, we publish an annual report and a financial statement regarding the previous year. The budget for our first year, 2026, can be found in our policy plan.
